Overview

We delivered the virtual production setup for POP VADROUILLE, a France 3 television program also released online, conceived entirely within a green screen virtual production workflow. Built around a multi-camera PTZ configuration and powered by Aximmetry, the production was designed to merge broadcast efficiency with the visual sophistication of real-time digital environments.

Our role was to create a seamless production ecosystem where virtual scenography, camera operation, and live compositing could coexist with precision. The ambition was not simply to replace a physical set, but to craft a controlled visual world capable of elevating the show’s identity across both television and digital platforms.

Challenges & Approach

The challenge of this production was to bring a high-end visual language to a television format while preserving the fluidity and reliability required by broadcast. Working entirely in green screen with PTZ cameras demanded a carefully engineered pipeline, where every element from framing to keying to scene integration had to remain consistent, responsive, and production-ready.

Our approach was to design a workflow that combined technical invisibility with creative presence. Using Aximmetry as the real-time core of the system, we developed an environment where multicamera operation could remain agile while the visual result stayed polished and immersive. Particular attention was given to the coherence between camera movement, virtual set behavior, and on-air rendering, ensuring that the technology would support the storytelling without ever distracting from it.

Rather than treating virtual production as a purely technical layer, we approached it as a tool for visual direction, one capable of bringing depth, flexibility, and a strong sense of identity to the program.

The result

The result was a fully virtualized broadcast environment that gave POP VADROUILLE a distinctive, contemporary on-screen presence. The integration of green screen production, PTZ cameras, and Aximmetry enabled a refined visual workflow that enhanced both efficiency behind the scenes and quality on screen.

Beyond the operational benefits, the project demonstrated how virtual production can be used to create a more elevated and controlled aesthetic for television. The final result offers a cohesive visual universe, aligned with the editorial identity of the show, while showcasing the creative and technical potential of real-time production in a modern broadcast context.
